Work With Us

We’re looking for talented, passionate grant professionals who share our values and mission. If you think you are a great fit and would thrive here, please review our roles and submit your cover letter and resume to our contact email.

Our Culture

Virtual

We are entirely remote and use Google Workspace. We are a 21st Century company. Our databases and processes are all digital. If you’re a “paper person,” you might not be happy here.

Caring

We put care at the heart of our work. We care for each other by celebrating our wins, birthdays, personal victories, and accomplishments. We mourn together. We brainstorm and help each other. We care deeply about our clients, who are doing some of the hardest work there is by helping people who have been harmed and changing the systems that harm them. We also care about the people who are the ultimate beneficiaries of the grants we write.

Collaboration

We are a team. Yes, we are all virtual and there is a lot of independent work, but we share intel, edit each other’s work, and help each other out when we’re on PTO. We have biweekly staff meetings and regular “watercoolers” where staff can vent and shoot the breeze.

Work hard

Grants are hard work. It requires a high degree of organization and attention to both the big picture and the details. We juggle a constant stream of deadlines for multiple clients. When we’re on the clock, we are fully on. Because we believe in what we do, we give it our all.

Play and rest hard

We believe in work/life balance. We have a shorter work week for most roles. We believe we should have the most precious resource, time, to spend with our loved ones, rest, and nourish ourselves. We offer a big, flexible pool of PTO so you can set your own holidays and vacations and take off sick time or mental health days when you or your family need it.

Flexible

Each person can set their own schedule, as long as we mostly overlap so you can attend client and staff meetings. Whether you’re a night person, a morning person, or a weekend warrior, we got you. As long as you get your work done and it meets our standards, you can work whenever you like.

Learning

We love to learn! We have a learning team who help plan and lead training events for our clients and staff. We’re always learning from each other by sharing funder intel and tips on how to approach grant writing. We seek new ways of approaching grants and benefit from professional associations and emerging trends in the field.

Progressive, if not radical

We believe everyone deserves the resources we need to thrive. We dream of a world that is just, equitable, inclusive, and incredibly diverse. We want everyone to be free and to flourish. This means that we work with clients who are anti-racist, pro-choice, pro-immigrant, and support the rights and dignity of LGBTQ+ people.

Our Principles

These principles illustrate how we approach our work at Resurgens Impact Consulting. When we train new staff, we talk extensively about our processes and how our principles are applied to daily work.

Be comprehensive

Make sure all bases are covered, all questions are answered accurately and thoroughly, and leave little to no room for ambiguity whenever possible.

Be deliberate

Focus, center yourself, and look at the little details. Self-review and editing are key.

Be consistent

Use our templates and follow them to give our work a cohesive, professional, uniform look.

Be clear

Always be very clear with the understanding that our clients are very busy, juggling a lot, and they need us to spell things out for them so that it’s easy for them to do their homework.

Be kind

Our clients are busy doing hard and important work with people in crisis. Be kind and respectful when communicating with clients and colleagues. Expect the same in return - you deserve nothing less.

Automate whenever possible

Set automatic reminders, schedule emails, use email templates, and use copy/paste/edit.

Find ease

Ask how can we make things as easy as possible so we can stay focused on our goals AND be happy and healthy.

Keep It Moving

If you get stuck, set it aside to complete another task or take a break, then come back to it. The work is very deadline-driven and requires diligent time management. If you’re waiting on a client for something, try to move forward with another piece (or another client) so that you make progress while you’re waiting.

Done is better than perfect

Progress over perfection! We want to produce high-quality work but we have to balance that with deadlines. Instead of striving for total perfection, save brain space for the hard and important stuff like building authentic, warm relationships based on mutual trust and respect and developing a competitive grant strategy.

Our Roles

We hire full-time staff positions. On occasion, we work with subcontractors who have expensive experience with grant writing, particularly with federal grants. If you would like to be considered for a subcontractor position, send your resume, cover letter/statement of interest, average weekly availability, and hourly rates to coordinator@resurgensimpact.com.
