2025 in Review: Navigating Change, Centering Impact
In 2025, the grant funding landscape changed faster than many nonprofits could keep up. Federal grant cuts, program eliminations, and shifting private and corporate priorities created daily whiplash for organizations that rely on grants to sustain their work. Strategic plans were suddenly obsolete, budgets needed to be reworked, and some nonprofits faced layoffs, restructuring, mergers, or even dissolution.
Against this backdrop, Resurgens Impact Consulting remained focused on helping nonprofits secure the resources they need to serve their communities. In our 2025 fiscal year alone, we applied for 577 grants and secured $15.4M in awards for our clients. That includes $6.2M in federal grant funding during one of the most challenging federal environments in recent memory. Since our founding in 2015, we’ve helped nonprofits secure a total of $158M in grant funding.
This year also marked our 10th anniversary—a milestone we celebrated with clients, partners, and friends in Atlanta. Together, we reflected on grants that have expanded sexual assault services in rural Southeast Georgia, funded new affordable housing in West Georgia, identified more than $6M in potential funding for reproductive justice organizations led by women of color, and fueled civic engagement initiatives reaching millions of Black voters. These are not just numbers; they are stories of survivors receiving support, families finding stable housing, communities organizing, and people building power.
Our 2025 Annual Report also highlights client stories like Atlanta Victim Assistance, where we helped secure a $91,000 grant from Impact100 Atlanta to launch the city’s first mobile victim services unit, and Urban Oak Initiative, where we built a grant-readiness roadmap that surfaced 30 aligned funding opportunities for an emerging food justice organization. These examples show what’s possible when nonprofits are equipped with strategic, values-based grant support.
As we look ahead to 2026, we know that change and uncertainty are not going away. But our mantra remains the same: be hopeful, optimistic, and determined.
